So far, the rumors about this codex are making it look pretty good.

lol really cant wait! i hope they do dark angels after... or maybe black templars... i might have to start a templars army if they do!

Looking as though Necrons AND Dark Eldar (that's right, you read it correctly) will be after Blood Angels.

Out of curiosity, are they going to slowly try and make all the major Space Marine chapters?

Can't wait til Necrons have their turn at a new codex.

No more than they've ever done. Most chapters follow the Adeptus Astartes organization set down by the Primarch of the Ultra Marines after the Horus Heresy. (ie. The Space Marine Codex)

There were a few chapter that never fit into that mold and refused to change their ways.
They are the ones with different codexes.
(Space Wolves, Blood Angels, Dark Angels & Black Templar)

There are also the lesser factions of Marines which work with the Inquisition (Grey Knights & Death Watch). But they only show up under Dire situations & rarely as a full army

Sucks that I have to wait until monday to read the codex. Sounds like these Blood Angels will be faster than Eldar when they attack. DS most units with all those flamers and melta pistols and most of the bad stuff is gone already. Not to mention you can assault out of that new vehicle even if its gone all out or deep struck.

A lot of things seem overpowered until you see point costs. People thought that a Carnifex Brood would be sick...but then they saw the points. A Vanguard Veteran Squad can be overpowered...if you spend the points.

Exactly. I haven't heard exactly what these things cost but I've heard comparisons. That new vehicle is supposed to cost as much as a fully upgraded Valkyrie or some other giant IG tank. Mephiston is around the points of a land raider crusader. And even though they are good WHEN they assault, after that they are just ordinary space marines where as space wolves and knights templar are good at prolonged combat. Gee, these new Blood Angels fight like Eldar
