Walt's joins the collective....

Hey everyone,

I wanted to take a few minutes and introduce myself, and the people I work for, Walt's Hobby!

I am Mike. If you've come into the store and gotten help with the modeling stuff we sell, more than likely, it was I who helped you. I am the short guy with glasses. I am also a gamer. I have been playing/participating in Games Workshops little money making enterprises for longer than I'd like to admit. At least since Dark Future and the original Lost and the Damned book came out....I absolutely love the game (I can't stand Games Workshop...but, I've been with 'em forever, and damned if I can give it up...)

The reason I've been invited to the board by Papa Nurgle, is that I am starting open gaming at our store on Monday Nights! We would be thrilled to have you come to our shop and use the huge amount of room we have to blast one another into bits! I would love for this to become something of a regular thing! I have a few guys that paint and play historical minis that have been coming over for the last month now and am very happy that they have been!

Now, I invite all of you to our shop! I hope you will be pleased with our store, and if there is anything I can do to help you enjoy your hobby any more, please ask!!!

Our shop is simple to get to....
1) Get on 690, If you are in the city, get on 690W, if you are from the B'ville/Liverpool area, get on 690E.
2) Get off at Exit 5.
3) Take three right hand turns.
4) Get out of car and come on in!

Our Hours:
Saturday: 10am-5pm
Sunday: 11am-5pm
Monday: 9am-9pm
Tuesday: 9am-9pm
Wednesday: 9am-6pm
Thursday: 9am-6pm
Friday: 9am-9pm
These are summer hours. From September to April, we stay open on Wed/Thu 'til 9pm.

We have just started (again!!) carrying Games Workshop in our store. We do not have a lot yet...but, with your support this will change!

I would love to see you guys stopping by the shop!

Hey mike, glad to have you on board. I live in Oswego but I am a continous club go'er if you would. I will be sure to map quest how to get there and stop in to say Hi. I am always up for painting advice as I have decided to compete in the next coming golden demon sooooo expect to see me a lot 8D! By the time my piece is done for the comp you and comixzone mike will more than likely want me lynch mobbed lol.

i live kinda far away but i'd like to come by sometime. i remember walts is were i bought a german ww2 tank to convert into an ork battle wagon.

For any of you who need directions, let me know. I'll be glad to point you in the right direction.

Thank you everyone that showed up tonight. You all (including you too Mike) gave me plenty of advice in starting 40k. If you need raw materials for terrain building please feel free to let any of us at the store know.

Once my finances and schedule iron out a good bit more I too plan on hitting up walts at some point.

This week, we will be getting around 10 boards to make tables out of.

I don't think that they will be at the shop on Monday, but, they will be there this week sometime.
