Huge Mega Battle: Tyranid Assault

When: January 23, 2010
SET UP TIME : 10:30-11:14 am
GAME STARTS: 11:15

RULESET: PLANETSTRIKE. (NO APOCALYPSE ITEMS)

Best Painted Army
Best Sportsmanship
Best Cinematic Moment of the Battle

The Firestorm Bombardment will be spore mines resolved as Spore Mines that are in the NEW Tyranid codex.

There will be set up terrain prior to the event making 4 bases to defend.

Objective:
DEFENDERS:Control More objectives and Destroy Tyranid Hive Tyrants
ATTACKERS: Control more objective than Defenders and Take down Bastions, Buildings and Landing pad.

Defender side Stratagems:
Command Center
Sacred Ground
Ammunition Store
Mine Field
Escape Hatch

Attacker Stratagems:
Supply Drop
Hypertrophic Flora x2



Army Construction:

1000 point Army List for defenders:
No HQ requirement
1 Troop Required
No limited on Heavy Choices

1000 point Army List for Attackers:UPDATED

(I have 6 lists available for playing. If you would like to be on the attacking side or want to try out nids.)


Each side will be given a team General. (Bug side ME, Defender side will be chosen by team vote during setup.) The team general will help guide the battle along and ENCOURAGE Players to make split second decisions on what they are doing. There will be 10 minutes per side between turns for QUICK strategy. We will take an 45 minute lunch break after the 2ND turn.

I assaume that you mean that nids are the Attackers right?

With a battle of this magnitude, the veil between reality and the warp will be weakened and this will allow the Daemons to arrive and reach there magnificent, glorious HAVOC!!!!! upon both sides!!!!

Appreciate the suggestion but everyone is trying to stop the bugs from taking the planet, even Chaos in all of its glory is no match for the Hive Mind.

No date limit but at this time there are only 6 Defender Spots Left and many Attacker spots left.

I have to dissagree with you. The Hive Mind is small and insignificant in caparison to the magnitude and beauty of Slaanesh. She has an entire galaxy of sin at her command.

However......

We can not allow the utter distruction of a planet at the hands of the bugs. We must sustaian the human life that resides here for they are our power.

I need a final roll call of who is coming because during my game last a good amount of people said they were then some said they were no and on my 2 hours of sleep my brain got confused admittedly. I currently have in:
