Re: Planetstrike Mega-Battle
Sure thing bud no worries, as well i am helping show Nick how to paint his traitor guard which he is using catachan as a base. If you want any hel painting let me know and I will be glad to show you.
I have the entire battleforce which I plan to built and paint this week. If I can manage that then most likely I will be buying building and painting 2 chimeras and maybe a basilisk depending on money and time constraints for planet strike. I'm all in to help you out bud.
Also to update on progress this tuesday I should be working on the landing pad since beard has primed it for me as well as throwing the initial base coat onto the bastion with Grimsaxe's airgun. This should mean that I will have both the landing pad and bastion painted and detailed by this friday as well as hopefully my entire battleforce built and painted and added to my guard (which aside from a few transports and some artillery should complete that army and allow for me to start building/painting my 2k pts of marines provded I find more midnight blue =_=......)
Anyways I'm up to help anyone who needs any painting advice etc.
One this I do NOT talk much or interact when I am working on something so if I don't respond when you try to get my attention just tap me on the shoulder because chances are i am sucked into whatever I am doing and didn't notice.

Re: Planetstrike Mega-Battle
cool stuff, I always just used sticky putty. I hammered out those last few S troopers last night and am going to pick up more spray today (these building sprues sucked up my new bottle of it 0.o!!!) Anyways only 2 lt's to finish painting b4 i spray up the battleforce and conveyor belt the living feth out of it this week.

Re: Planetstrike Mega-Battle
Do we have to have things just primed or actually painted by the 25 cause I got a lot of dudes
Re: Planetstrike Mega-Battle
For the Iron Army Build/Paint Stamp you only need 1 unit (No less than 5 models or 3 bikes/calvary or 1 tank/dread) completely painted & PROOF that you worked on it during the time frame (Which started Thurs the 2nd).
As for proof, I don't care if you work on it during the sessions @ CZ. As long as I see STAGES & not just a finished product.
Same goes for the Iron Scenery Build/Paint Stamp
Build and/or paint one full Building/Bastion/Landing Pad or 6 Full sized Barricades & 1 Support Gun (Thats 1 Full Box for those working on the Aegis Defense lines)
If you choose to paint the defenses we made before that means you need to scratch build either some kind of Quad gun or Las Cannon Platform to go with them.
We are using a Stone color style for the Scenery but I also want to see some detail work too.
Give them the same attention you would to your Rank & File models (or close to it)
Also make sure You write your names down if your working on these stamps & don't assume I'll remember because you mentioned it in passing. (I have way too much to keep track of to guarantee I'll remember a passing conversation)

- You can bring it in to show me if your not working @ CZ.
- take W.I.P.(work in progress) pictures
- send me a link to a podcast

You have credit for the Build but a stamp requires painting as well.
Although you need not paint the same thing you built to achieve the stamp.
If you wish to continue on the bastion, it is primed & ready to paint.
Over the weekend I made sure to get as much of the unpainted terrain primed as I was able.
BTW, anyone willing to build defense weapons? I would, (right up my alley) but my hands are full building a Fortress for one of the tables.

people read the dates on some of these posts, this thread was from July of 2009 and has pasted, the stamps in question were for Lucky 13's which, I'm sure Brian is thankful that is done for another year.

whoops
ok ok ok ok so I didn't read the dates and now things suddenly make more sense. I was rushed because I had some cookies in the oven on the other side of the tree. But is anyone really surprised that I put my foot in my mouth?
