Fantasy Campaign

I will be starting a Fantasy Canpaign soon. It will use the Mighty Empires tiles, But will be far more involved than the rules presented there. I am starting this thread to get a general idea of how many would be interested in participating.

When it starts is still up in the air. There are a number of people that are just getting into fantasy and some that are starting a new army. Since that is the case I was considering an escalation league to start with. It would start at a certain points level and then increase by a certain amount say every 2 weeks. Games would be played and overall scoring would be based on win/loss. However, there would be either no points scored or a loss of points if your army is not COMPLETELY painted. That would be minimum 3 colors on the models and bases.

Post here if you are intersted in the campaign and if you want to do the league first.

You might want to get a hold of "The Wardogs" they seem to be established group of fantasy players @ CZ but as of yet not utilized the forums that were set aside for them.

I have talked to a couple of the folks that are part of that group. They are intersted. Now I just need to get them to use the forum

I would be interested depending on when we play. I have a long ~130 mile drive to get there so fridays or weekends are my only option. I might get some of the other watertown players to car pool down.

Ok. Campaign is in the works. I would like to start it sometime in September. The reason for the wait is that there are some of us that are just starting Warhammer and others that are starting new armies.

So with that in mind I am announcing an Escalation Painting League. I will be posting details of the league in the Events forum, under Campaigns. It will have a mix of generalship and painting. I will also be adding bonus points for FLUFFING up your army.

So head on over to events and sign up if you are interested.

Ok I am almost ready. I will be finishing the map tonight and getting all the rules wrapped up. I would like to get things started next week.

For all that are interested we shall get together for the kick-off on Friday October 8.

I will take the time to explain how things will work and we can do the first few campaign turns. Wonce there is conflict, I will do campaign turns every 2 weeks. @ weeks to complete your games should be just right, unless everyone decides we can go faster. The start of the campaign will be 1500 pt games and at some point we will start playing bigger games.

If you are going to participate, post here with your army choice. If you want to participate but can not make it let me know and I will try and work around it.
