BFG 101 - Thursday 1/13
From out of left field...
It is the return of Battle Fleet Gothic.
For those who didn't hear, I have been asked to help a few people learn BFG.
We've tried this before, but since things are fairly slow now & I don't have much going on, I think we'll be ok.
Unlike last time, were going to start with the basics. Hence, "BFG 101"
(it will also help shake the cobwebs off my brain.)
the 1st lesson will be this Thursday (1/13/2011) starting between 6:30 & 7pm. The following "classes" will be on Tuesdays.
Anyone who want to take part is welcome. No models required (proxies will be used)
However if you have a Metric tape measure or ruler bring it along.
Hopefully as people become more familliar with the rules, we can get some full size games going.

First class 1/13
Today went well.
We had 4 individuals who showed interest & a couple others looked on from time to time
Those who were familiar with BFG looked like they were out of the loop but not up to a full game vs each other.
At this stage I want to keep the demos to only 2 per board & focusing on the core rules.
The next step will be on small fleets (500 points) focusing on Squadrons, Escorts & Carrier ships
Are there some suggestions to improve the enjoyment for existing BFG players, while keeping within the class framework?
*** Update ***
Unfortunately I wanted to continue with BFG-101 this coming Tuesday (1/18), however work has moved me to the evening shift for the coming week.
We will try again on Tuesday 1/25

Well unfortunately, I'll still be on the night shift next week as well. Sorry to disappoint.
I'll let everyone know our next BFG session as soon as I'm back on days.
