March Painting Competition

Is there anyone out there who actually plans on entering this thing? I've busted my bum on models for it but if there's not enough people then there won't be one and all my hard work will be for naught. I find it hard to believe that out of the entire club I'm the only one who paints. It doesn't have to be great or anything. Hell I won a category last year simply because I was the only one that entered. I don't want that to happen again. Come on everyone, stop the grey hoards and paint something will ya.

I paint although lately I haven't done much of it. Just don't feel my painting is of a quality to enter any compititions. Maybe the others are feeling the same way.

I have just gotten paint and what not am i am going to try and start painting my stuff!

Remember, it doesn't have to be amazing. It just has to be there so that Mike knows there's interest in this sort of thing. And the only way to get better is to keep doing it. People think my stuff is decent quality but I still have the first model I ever painted for 40k and it ain't pretty lol.

When is it and how does it work? Never took part in one before.

ok chuck, i threw up in my mouth a lil on your coment about having horton paint your body. i will enter this thing too. i have a couple things that i have actually painted in completion. let me know

Mike said some time in March so he is the go to guy but here are the categories as they last stood:

Individual Model

40k Squadron or Fantasy/WotR formation

Vehicle/War Machine

Large Model

Duel

No model that won last years competition can be entered again in any category but those that entered and did not win can be re-entered. I really want this to happen. It's fun and its the one aspect of the hobby where I'm considered competition.

lol just to giev everyone a little confidence boost I ENTERED LAST YEAR! given i didnt win anything but i do believe some time has passed and i have honed my skills alil more... plus i only entered one category... i would like to be there just not sure yet
